Domaine Naturaliste Discovery Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Here’s a sneak preview of the 2019 Discovery Cabernet, not due to be released until December. With a small percentage of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this wine has classic Margie aromas of cassis, leaf and eucalypt, the dark choc mint of an After Eight and savoury notes of a leather wingback chair. It is ripe and full bodied, with those blackcurranty cassis flavours on the palate too and it’s juicy with some savoury layers and firm tannins. This is everything you want in a Margaret River Cabernet and again, it is excellent value and super approachable right now. Lipsmackingly delicious with lamb and rosemary sausages cooked in the open air.
