A complex and convincing Margaret River Chardonnay. Trades on the plush fruit and power of the region’s Chardonnay and, in particular, the Gingin clone, delivering quite a forward wine. Sunny, tropical fruit aromas of peach, nectarine, melon, citrus and that steady background sea spray, ironstone mineral attraction that Margs does so well. Palate texture is a feature, layered and smooth, weighty and yet elegant, fitting in beautifully with the lush array of stone fruits, vanillin oak, almond biscotti and gentle cashew nuttiness. Acidity is folded between the layers showing balance with just an enticing touch of zesty lemon sorbet punch to energise the finish.
