Down to Earth Cabernet Franc 2017

Varietal Cabernet Franc can be very hard to find. Wines that show the delicacy, detail and even fragrance that the best of this grape variety has to offer. This wine is a superb example that has been given the Rolls Royce treatment by the Terre à Terre team.

Handpicked fruit from the Crayères vineyard, a long ferment and then two years in oak – that is right, two years. It is just so drinkable with its fleshy red and blackcurrant fruits plus a slight leafy kick and that savoury edge from some time in oak. It is supple no doubt, and an earlier drinking style, but has the concentration, stuffing and long finish to suggest it will drink well over the next 8 years. Get it here.
