Boasts a lovely Aussie bush scent and feel to it, so much of the land, the soil and distinguished old vines. Utterly delicious and yet also serious in intent, Barossa Semillon deserves more attention than it gets. Fragrant in yellow peach, acacia, honeysuckle, chamomile and preserved lemon. Seamless in presentation, nicely weighted, textural and long. Combines citrus, pear and peach with a touch of ginger spice, just a pinch, that really resonates, together with some attractive savoury preserved lemon bite. The lasting impression is of a smooth, delicious lemon curd friendliness. Shows just how well the Barossa is suited to the grape. Thank you, Château Tanunda for keeping this varietal regional tradition alive.
