Cape Mentelle Wallcliffe Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Share

Larger than life, Wallcliffe helped redefine Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc, zeroing in on a herbal intensity and a super ripe and powerful expression of fruit. That strong individuality is on display in the 2022 Wallcliffe as it embraces cut grass, nettles, snow pea and gooseberry intensity in tandem with citrus, passionfruit, jasmine and lantana. In other words, upfront leafy, herbal notes work well against a background deep in citrus and summer florals. The palate brings a real sense of tension – another strong feature of fruit off the Wallcliffe Vineyard – with brisk, zesty acidity. One tightly formed, impressive Sauvignon Blanc that runs smooth and long. Classy.
