100% Nebbiolo. Aromas of clove and sweet biscuit at the fore thanks to the Riserva level oak (24 months), followed by spearmint, salumi, and roasted tomato. Harmony and cohesion come with air, unlocking fennel seed, hazelnut, and liquorice root. The palate is medium to full in body, with oak at the fore initially and plenty of chew. Sweet biscuit again, a cooling mineral note bringing freshness along with brighter fresh fruits of cranberry and morello cherry. Stacked Nebbiolo fruit tannins and spiced-cherry laden acidity bring architectural length. Very good. Be sure to decant ahead of time.
