Castle Rock Estate A&W Pinot Noir 2021

The A&W series is named in honour of the founders of Castle Rock Estate with their reserve offering. Sourced from predominantly vines planted in 1986, it’s fresh rhubarb and macerated strawberries, red currents on the stem and pink peppercorns. The 25% whole bunch is used carefully providing just a touch of sage and dried thyme that add colour to the dominant red fruit spectrum. Rooibos tea leaves and powdered nutmeg lead to silky tannins and mouth watering acidity. This is elegance and restrained power, a delight of a wine. Drink with Squab or Quail, tiny birds and Pinot Noir – you cannot go wrong.
