But this wine is not your typical fruity Marlborough style – there is subtlety, there is detail and even a dark underbelly.

It’s bright to mid cherry in colour and immediately stalky and sappy with some whole bunch influence plus a touch of green herbs all backed by sweet dark cherry fruits. The palate is dry, mid-weight and savoury with crisp acidity driving a long and elegant finish. A very smart Marlborough Pinot.
