Balsamic notes of camphor and cedar wood on opening. Following are dried rosemary, black olives, roasted capsicum, black liquorice, preserved blackberries and boysenberries. Juicy and with chalky tannins, the balsamic and spicy flavours are singing loud alongside a certain graphite- mineral undertone. In doing so, perhaps the trio is overshadowing the fruit a bit. An excellent balance despite the high level of alcohol.
