Grape growers in the village of Champillon since 1670, led by third generation Laurent Autréau, their vineyards perch on the hillsides overlooking Epernay. Disgorged in June 2024. A blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay this opens with lemon skin, peach nectar and toasted praline. There is wet limestone and friable pumice stone with long tingling chords of acidity. Some pink sea salt flakes and a lemon yoghurt creaminess, this is layered with chimes of lees whilst maintaining its poise and lively persistence. Gorgeous on its own but could equally see you through seafood, white meats and into cheeses as well. A beautiful framed Champagne from a shining Grand Cru site.
