This is a wine that will forever be associated with Nat White, the co-founder of Main Ridge Estate, who sadly died earlier this year. Nat was a pioneering influence on the Mornington Peninsula with his early adoption of Pinot Noir. His legacy lives on under new owners, the Sexton family, who produced a stunner of an old vine Pinot Noir in 2025. Captures the liveliness of youth with a cracking array of red berries, cherries, plums gently entwined into aromatic layers of florals, blood orange, herbs, spice and earth that run deep through the wine. So much potential lives here for further ageing. Beautifully integrated throughout with complexity from the get go. Ripe, juicy fruit, smart oak and gentle earthy herbs and spices combine with a sleek tannin structure and a freshness of acidity that lifts bright and long through the finish. Built for time in bottle, but it will be a test of patience for many. The Sextons have done Nat White proud.
