What a stunner! A standout Chardonnay from a standout region for the grape, lemony bright, linear and super crisp. Scents in lemon, lemon balm and light herbals, grapefruit, nectarine and almond meal. Fermentation and Punch Lance’s Vineyard Chardonnay 2022 maturation in seasoned barrels bring a natural balance and emerging texture to the wine. There’s an energy here, delivered through some punchy (pun intended!) acidity and offering the groundwork for a bright future which is very much on the cards. A light dusting of oak spice is an added bonus. Finishes with a clean, crisp grapefruit pithiness. Superb.
