Chapel Hill The Parson Cabernet Sauvignon 2024

The Parson range of Mclaren Vale wines offers fantastic value, and especially with this Cabernet which clearly shows great care in the vineyard to be able to find its sweet spot covering varietal herbals and ripe mulberry/blueberry flavours. There’s no mistaking the nose: violet florals, crushed dark berry, a suggestion of black licorice deeply set, with a mix of all that in the palate, a judicious grip of tannins to finish, almost sticky rather than drying. A heap of Cabernet joy for so few dollars.
