Chard Farm Hawkesburn Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

A new one to the collection here, well at least new to me, this is a pale red hue, with an ochre rim. The nose offers an array of spices and herbs but most impressively, lovely cherry notes, as well as some hints of mushrooms. An attractive swirl of aromas here. There are hints of well-integrated oak, but it is the red fruits to the fore which are a highlight. Good acidity, cushiony tannins which are ever-so-fine and a lingering finish, enjoy this over the next five to eight years.
