An ever reliable value proposition makes this cuvée name apt. Spiced plum, garrigue, pan juices, blackberry, black pepper, subtle vanilla and a whisper of coal. An immediate thought is that we have another Faith Shiraz that has complexity belying its modest price point. The palate has a sluice of juicy dark fruit at the fore in the form of blackberry, black cherry and plum, with dried herbs, mocha, leather and black pepper in tow before an ample frame of grainy tannins and plum-drenched acidity define a finish of medium length. Does it hit ethereal heights? No. Is it a smashing wine for $24? Absolutely.
