More please! While Château Tanunda is an obvious Shiraz specialist, it also has access to some incredible, old vine Grenache. This ‘young’ five-year-old highlights the innate beauty of the grape, capitalising on its naturally buoyant nature. Lively aromatics in lavender and juniper with aromas of roasted plum, black cherry, spice, black pepper, earth and cedary oak. Comes alive in detail to taste and, while obviously full bodied, the fine tannin profile works well in delivering a balanced whole. The role of spice is elevated and quite delicious.
