Collalto Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir 2019

Share

The role of the seasons is so evident here.

We go from a lean and almost hungry 2018 pinot noir from Collalto to a very different animal, one with more ripe fruit on display and less obvious herbals.

Black cherry, plum, musky florals, violets, spice . . . there’s a lot happening and that’s just the aroma.

On the palate it’s ripe and fresh: red cherry flavours, robust, full of flavour with just a gentle but highly attractive thread of leafiness.

Shows both focus and elegance, and don’t you just love those dry, cherry pip tannins that bring everything to a clean finish? I do.
