An unusual blend here of Shiraz, Grenache and Petit Verdot from Dandelion Vineyards but it works beautifully with the Petit Verdot adding a firm backbone to what are at first decadent fruits. Bright opaque ruby and enticing from the very first impression with luscious but balanced fruits – blackberry, blueberry, pepper and black olive with a nice dose of well handled new oak. A full-flavoured and muscular palate follows that is seriously complex underpinned by slightly rustic tannins which soften out towards a finish with blueberry, violet and new leather flavours. Seriously good.
