The innate balance and Aussie mateship these two grapes enjoy is clear to see and enjoy here. The wine speaks, too, of its McLaren Vale location with dark earth notes and flashes of spearmint and Aussie bush, a potent and telling factor in this warm and generous young red. It successfully mixes the savoury with the sweet black fruited in blackberry, dark fruits, baking spices, and oak-derived clove, allspice and savoury cured meat notes. The unique Shiraz-Cab Aussie blend is invariably ready to go upon release and this is no different here. It also has time on its side should you wish to cellar.
