It makes sense that Sangiovese would work well in McLaren Vale. That extra mid-palate suppleness and generosity is often what this variety needs. It tends to balance the dried savoury and slightly earthy characters adding richness and succulence. Strikes an excellent fruit, oak and tannin balance with a dry savoury finish well suited to all manner of pasta and meat dishes.
