De Bortoli Riorett Lusatia Park Pinot Noir 2019

Share

This now has a little age and it’s starting to reveal some rather beautiful characters that comes with cellaring time for these varieties. It comes from the Lusatia Park vineyard, which produces such wonderful Pinot and Chardonnay. The colour is still bright and the nose is only just starting to show the first indications of a slightly leathery development, which will only further enhance the attractive aromatics of the wine. The palate merges a slightly gamey truffle combination with a little moist leathery note, adding further complexity. It’s layered and complex, with the fine acidity helping to sustain it through to its focused finish. Make sure you let this one breathe before you drink it because the sweet fruit characters will emerge and complement beautifully that slightly leathery development.
