De Moor Bourgogne Le Vendangeur Masqué 2018

Share

This de Moor’s Bourgogne outperforms its appellation. The nose invites you to richer aromas than expected, typical of the warmer 2018 vintage. Very expressive here with red apples & pears, the palate is slightly oily with nuts & spice with citrus notes and a salty edge. It’s a gorgeous Chardonnay showing the warm vintage, comforting and textural but with a mineral finish staying true to its terroir. Very appetising indeed, the wine is complex for a village, but still lively with a long finish. It is crafted with fruit from a small plot of Chardonnay vines planted in Auxerre, west of Chablis.
