Dexter Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay 2024

Share

An orchard of trees laden with white nectarines and blossoming frangipanis. Some raw macadamia and the sawdust powder of newly delivered oak barrels, so fine it feels creamy to the touch. Lemon cream biscuits and buttermilk follow, carried by an electric charge of acidity, while a nougatine-like chew builds across the palate. Subtle nutmeg and vanilla sugar linger on the finish. This is a richly layered Chardonnay: satisfying the appetite of those who crave citrus-driven frenzy, yet delivering the wealth of classy oak, a generous mid-palate, and a crystalline, clean finish. Perfect with butterflied chicken in lemon oil. Drink now, or cellar confidently for another three to four years.
