Eastern Laneway Shiraz 2021

Share

Looking for a wine that seriously over delivers for the price? Then look no further than this Eastern Laneway Grampians Shiraz made by star winemakers Rory Lane from The Story Wines and Matthew East from Rouleur Wines. While it is without doubt an early drinking style, it packs loads of complexity and you can see that plenty of effort has gone in to get this just right. Deep crimson in colour, it shows an admirable mix of power and complexity. Ripe blackberry/kirsch aromas with plentiful dried sage and white pepper spice adding personality – super complexity for the price. It then goes on to deliver ample red and dark fruits in the mouth again matched by savoury notes including new leather before spice and violets come out to play on the finish. There is also surprisingly solid tannins that will help it to drink well for some time to come. A cracker, in every sense of the word.
