Eight at the Gate Wrattonbully Cabernet Shiraz 2019

The great Aussie blend done particularly well in this Wrattonbully wine that is exceptional value. 59% Cabernet and 41% Shiraz, it spent 34 months in a mix of new and seasoned French oak barrels. While oak is evident, it is certainly not intrusive. Deep blood red in colour, we have soft, deep aromas here that are utterly enticing. Black fruits, licorice, chocolate, plums, spices and a sweet core of black cherries delivered with soft, very fine tannins and impressive length. This is absolutely delicious so you can enjoy it now but you can cellar with confidence for at least another five years. Love it.
