No apologies here. Launches straight into a full-on Barossa Shiraz: rich, ripe, fully textured, big and bold. By woody dark spices, black liquorice, cassia bark and earth. It all holds together as a solid Shiraz, no doubt in part due to maturation in new French oak (50%) followed by extended time in bottle (18 months) before release. Palate is svelte and plush with ever present tannins, something for the journey ahead.
