El Toro Macho Reserva 2015

This wine just oozes Spain. It is rustic, it’s savoury, it is full of flavour and is built for pleasure. The wine is a bit of an unusual blend – bobal, tempranillo, cabernet sauvignon and grenache, which combine to make what is a delicious red. There is blackberry, baked earth and dried spice aromas supported by some generous oak. It is then dry and full-bodied, super generous in flavour for the money in a supple easy-drinking style. You can drink it on its own but I reckon this wine is at its best with some Middle-Eastern lamb kebabs hot off the barbecue. Exclusive to ALDI.
