McLaren Vale fruit from 35+ year old vineyards. Matured for 12 months in French oak. Pomegranate juice, stewed rhubarb and Morello cherries in syrup. Tobacco leaf, autumnal notes of pumpkin spice, nutmeg and cinnamon. This is teetering between the Christmas cake spice and forest floor undergrowth. Silky tannins and wafts of acidity.
