From two vineyards high up on Contrada Nave. One at 1,200 metres is co-planted to riesling renano, gewurztraminer, and chenin blanc e grecanico. The other slightly lower and planted to carricante. Average vine age is 15 years. Exact cepage unknown, but carricante dominant. Lifted rosehip, honeysuckle, ripe lemon, delicate spice, and stoney mineral drive. The palate is textural, with lemon pith, white peach, saline mineral, and a subtle honeyed note. There’s a pleasing bitter edge to the finish which is long and drenched in lemony salinity. Packed with interest.
