Foreign Friends Gamay 2025

Share

Gamay grapes from Yarra Valley, this opens with mulled spice, orange, bergamot and cinnamon. Stewed raspberries and lingonberries. Some sumac spice and pink peppercorns. The body of the wine is bright with a real chewy nature to the fruit, some red licorice and fine black tea tannins. This benefits from a decant and would be at home with rich layered spice dishes, like Indian curries or even I’d go for Filipino food like oxtail kare kare.
