O’Leary Walker Seasonal Release Cabernet Shiraz 2020

Share

The Australian classic Cabernet Shiraz is making a comeback and this is a welcome addition to the range from Clare Valley stalwarts O’Leary Walker. It’s got typical Clare Valley reserve but is also packed with personality showing blackcurrant, black olive fruits plus a stony undertow and balanced oak. The palate is full-bodied with an attractive savoury quality – warm earth, ground spices and eucalypt underpinned by dark fruit pastilles. Some juicy acidity and firm cabernet tannins provide structure to age but this is already drinking well. Team it up with beef ragout for a top night in.
