Big in personality – à la Barossa – with plenty of good Chardonnay vibes packed into its smart $25 price point. Hard to ask for more. Amid the ripe peach, melon and citrus aromas a whisper of ginger spice emerges. Not sure what oak has been used but something brings a lovely ginger biscuit and spice allure to the wine, a different and delicious layer, amid ripe fruit, vanilla and a gentle nuttiness. Warm, generous with textural appeal, it’s a Chardonnay on the riper side but nicely controlled nonetheless by lively acidity.
