Forrest Estate Botrytised Riesling 2018

A bit of a curio from the Marlborough region but a welcome one, nonetheless. The fruit comes from three vineyards in the Wairau Valley where the bunches, with extra time, develop the necessary botrytis. Always a speciality from this team. The colour is a lovely bronze gold. On the nose, we have appealing raisins and toffee notes with hints of honeycomb. A classic botrytised style, this is wonderfully luscious with real depth of flavour. A soft, lingering finish, this should provide delicious drinking over the next ten to fifteen years.
