Greenock Creek Cornerstone Grenache 2020

This is a grenache not for the faint hearted and absolutely reflects the ethos at Greenock Creek to deliver plenty of flavour in each of their wines. Aromatically it begins a little shy with dark and brooding fruit aromas. It’s on the palate though where it really delivers with powerful cherry liqueur, spice and violet aromas. It’s rich and quite full-bodied with a serious volume of fruit backed up by sandy tannins before a long finish lifted by attractive red raspberry notes. It has some staying power and will age quite well but probably best in a year or two when it has come out of its shell a little bit more.
