Named in honour of drinking occasions particularly seaside, pool side or water adjacent. 75% Grenache and 25% Vermentino the wine spends time in a mix of stainless steel old French oak and Slavonian oak Foudre for 3 months then blended into stainless steel for 2 months. This is another fresh and lively wine with a good focus on aromatics, punch and brightness of red fruit. Grenache takes the lead with its raspberry coulis and pomegranate pulp aroma, some dusty rose and blood plums too. There is a slushy note to the acidity, thanks to the steering nature of citrus laden vermentino with some powdery but significant tannins, adding excellent structure whilst still packed with flavour and lip smacking energy. A hint of campari and orange skin to finish. Hard to imagine a time when this wine isn’t appropriate really. I’m a big fan. Drink now with shoes off and feet elevated.
