Daosa Rosé 2022

Share

This is mainly Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir with a dash of Chardonnay. 22 months on lees. 6 grams dosage. Lovely pale salmon pink colour with a copper hue. All the strawberries! Fresh cut strawberries, strawberries and cream lollies, strawberry coulis followed by rose petal, cinnamon sugar doughnut, faint nutmeg and a glimmer of maraschino cherry beneath. It’s very pretty and moreish. The palate has excellent intensity and a lovely creamy mousse, bursting with strawberry compote, ruby grapefruit, red rose, red cherry and nutmeg. A piercing line of red fruited acidity shoots through the finish drawing incredible length while also freshening things up. This is a red fruited, floral and spicy delight, with structure and length to boot.
