These different regional expressions of the grape, with the same vintage and winemaker, are insightful. On the nose, deeper brambly black fruits. Plum skin, black cherry, pith and undergrowth, cedary spice. It’s a bit broodier and plusher, while still providing an elegant and fine boned Pinot. The palate is more in the mid-weight spectrum, surprising at the alcohol content. It’s slightly fleshier, yet a fine and tight acid line pulls through, and the chocolate dusting and slight iodinesque note that kicks in just before the finish line leaves a lingering memory while the fruit continues its journey. A cracker of a Pinot.
