Harvey River Estate Montepulciano 2022

Share

The second vintage of this wine. The nose is rather subdued, but some nice gravelly black fruits and a little musk stick and dried meatiness. The palate has more vibrancy, with purple fruit, black cherries, musk stick, crushed violets and a smattering of spice and a graphite note. The palate is juicy and plush, with tight-knit broody tannins and plenty of crunch and lift, though the finish is a little drying. There is lots of potential here, and I look forward to seeing this wine continue through many more vintages.
