Heggies Cloudline Eden Valley Chardonnay 2020

From high up in the Eden Valley comes this delicious modern Australian style of chardonnay that has been fermented and matured in French oak. At its core is bright and fresh fruit – citrus and floral complexity with only a dusting of oak leaving the wine vibrant and youthful. So youthful in fact that it needed a couple of days to come out of its shell. That zesty style continues on the palate where restrained and elegant fruit is matched by crisp acidity that provides considerable length. There is plenty of detail there too but the wine does need a little time to flesh out after which it will drink beautifully for the next three or four years.
