Peter Lehmann The Eternal Optimist Shiraz 2023

Share

As pretty as a picture, such is the forest berry hues in the glass. You’ll be met with Gala toffee apple, fresh raspberries and pomegranate juice. A touch of mulberry and Acai berry. There is rosehip and fig jam with clove, boot polish and new leather. The palate is silky smooth with steep acidity that makes for a crunchy wine. Tannins hold the structure in place but it’s effortless. The intensity of the Barossa with a modern positive outlook, as the eternal optimist rings true. Drink now and will cellar for another 3 years. A lovely wine for a slow cooked ragu.
