Heggies Vineyard Riesling 2024

I am the first to admit that at times I live beyond my means. There are consumables that stretch this, and in rare moments, items of relief. Discovering wines like Heggies’ Riesling for under $30 is one of them. The wine opens with a most pretty nose of white blossoms, clementine, sliced Granny Smith apples, and fresh water over pebbled brooks. There is something almost purifying about it, a purge of the week’s stress and for some… reckless spending. Between the zip and zing of lime zest and green apple flesh, the wine is lightweight and downy.  A gentle grip on the palate pulls it down a line of slaty minerality towards a talcy close.
