Henry’s Drive Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Share

The classic Aussie blend and there are plenty of versions from all around the county although it is still a bit rare in McLaren Vale. Not that the wines are not good but simply there is more cabernet sauvignon planted in many other regions. This wine is a bit of a surprise packet. It is quite elegant aromatically – layers of leafy cassis and blackberry fruit – but then on the palate it really comes to life with luscious dark fruit lifted by spice. The package is rich and plush with tannins hiding behind a wall of fruit. It’s a good drink although best to enjoy over the next five years.
