Henschke Louis Eden Valley Semillon 2022

Thoroughly different to what we have come to expect from Hunter Sems (and nothing wrong with that), this is a biodynamic wine from the Eden Valley, tank fermented, hailing from another stellar vintage, ’22. Pale gleaming straw. Fresh, with lovely citrus notes. There is a layered texture which is quite creamy in mouthfeel. On the palate, we see hints of honey, citrus and florals. The structure is balanced and seamless and there is excellent length, with the finish lingering beautifully. A fine, poised Semillon, which will give ten years of pleasure, likely more from good cellars.
