Henschke Louis Semillon 2024

Share

Fifty plus year old vines planted by custodian Stephen Henschke’s father Cyril honouring his brother Louis. A wine of rocky stone ridges and fragrant field grasses, citrus fruits sitting somewhere in the lines between yellow grapefruit and lemon, pithy and perfectly ripe, all that energy expressed with a steely, edgy, saline feel rather than simply citrussy tang. Hats off to the Semillon variety for its reveals. A delightful dinner companion across primavera pastas and more complex seafood dishes.
