Henschke Stone Jar Tempranillo 2025

Share

This 100% Tempranillo from Eden Valley has been a favourite of mine since I first tasted the early vintages several years ago. Matured for six months in seasoned oak hogsheads, the aim is to highlight the bright red fruit expression that is such a hallmark of the variety. Aromas reveal raspberry, earthy notes and a touch of cherry cola. The medium-weight palate delivers that appealing rustic and savoury combination that works so well with Tempranillo, while bright red fruits provide freshness and energy. This was an excellent vintage and the wine captures it beautifully.
