This is 100% Mourvèdre (AKA Mataro) from a dry grown Barossa Valley vineyard. Presents pale salmon in hue and packaged in a lightweight, clear glass bottle. Plenty going on: blood orange, pink grapefruit, caramel shards, white strawberry, white cherry, peachy stone fruit, incense smoke and watermelon juice. There’s a smoothness upfront and the mid palate firming to near richness, before crunchy soft red berry, blood orange citrus, dry tobacco and yellow stone fruit slices. Finishes dry with plenty of personality.
