Winemaker Dean Hewitson has carved out a serious reputation with his portfolio of Barossa Valley Mourvèdre-based red wines. Now add this 100% varietal Rosé, mirroring the traditional styles of France’s Rosé mecca, Provence. It’s pale, glossy with white-topped strawberry crush aromas, leaf and spice and a faint dab of floral fragrance for a touch of glamour. The palate is dry, importantly, with a subtle pepperiness, offering the capacity to party or dine in style. Why drink French when you can do just as well and better with wines like this.
