Hewitson Gun Metal Riesling 2022

Share

Fruit taken from an altitude of 380 metres. Soil type is “ancient oxidised ferrous loams over granite and outcrops of limestone.” No preservatives added in the vineyard and minimal at bottling. Pale lemon with a golden gilt edge. Calm yellow apple skin and lime blossom with stony assuredness, spring flowers, a richness of warming butter and white chalk. Presents as a textural and expansive Riesling. Some bittersweet grapefruit citrus, peppery spice with a drying grip and lightbulb acidity drive.
