The mountain speaks – Harewood Mount Barker Riesling 2019

Share

Mount Parker is home to the original star of the Great Southern – Plantagenet. Decades before Great Southern was recognised for its quality Plantagenet was a lone voice for exceptional wines. In 2019 James Kellie has again shown that in the right season Mount Barker can make the highest quality wines. It’s an explosive and exotic Riesling style, with cantelope, mandarin skin and lime scented fruits. It is dry, mid-weight and textural with wet stone complexity and without quite the typical juicy acid seen from Great Southern which makes for a delicious more early drinking wine.
