A pleasure-to-meet-you kind of Margaret River Shiraz. An intriguing wine, both forward, ripe and warm in fruit flavour, but also sporting a robust mesh of tannins which gives the impression that it remains in building mode. Blackberry, black plum, black cherry, earth and baking spices lead the way on the mid-weighted palate. Runs through to a quiet finish when tasted as the fruit dial slowly turns down and the tannin dial nudges drier. Would enjoy time at the table with a medium rare steak at this early stage in its development.
